Lake Logan is located in Hocking County in southeast Ohio, just outside of the city of Logan. It was originally known as “Hocking Lake,” but was re-named to better reflect the Indian heritage of the area and to avoid confusion with the Hocking Hills State Park and Forest. The 400 acre lake is ideal for fishing for northern pike, bass, bluegill, crappie, Muskie, catfish, and Saugeye.

A valid Ohio fishing license is required. A speed limit of 10mph is enforced, and boat motors must be 10 horsepower or less. Several boat launch ramps and tie-ups are available, as well as numerous picnic and parking areas. Fires are permitted in grills only. There is also a 527-foot public swimming beach that boasts a concession stand, drinking water, restrooms, playground, and changing booths. Across from the beach, the mile-long Pine Vista Hiking Trail offers chances to observe wildlife. Part of the Buckeye Trail runs through the park close to the Hocking Hills State Forest, and there is also a half-mile hiking trial in the southwest area of the park. Lake Logan is also known as a favorite spot for birdwatchers.
